It means, very simply, that when you prey on the
fear, ignorance, greed, laziness or gullibility of would-be Internet
marketers who've had little or no success so far, using hype,
false promises (real or implied) and manipulative copy (false
deadlines, pressure to buy, etc) to create false hope, a lot of
those people are going to buy from you based on that false hope.
The problem is, your chickens will eventually
come home to roost. And when they do, it's going to get ugly.
Your reputation will be deservedly trashed. Don't kid yourself,
either, that because the consequences of your actions are delayed
that there won't be any. Wrong! The longer those chickens take
to arrive, the bigger and meaner they'll be. Hopefully, you'll
end up in court — and maybe even in jail for a spell of timely
reflection.
It ain't
